The Blue Crow Gallery is currently seeking a part-time Fine Art Gallery Assistant who will be responsible for supporting the delivery of a cohesive public message and a strong brand identity for the gallery. The ideal candidate should have excellent writing skills, be well-organized, and be able to balance multiple tasks. Even though previous experience working in a Fine Art Gallery may not be required, art handling and knowledge are essential.
The successful candidate should have excellent verbal communication skills since the role is public-facing. They should also be able to converse freely with visitors to the gallery. As the Gallery Assistant, they will be responsible for creating and distributing regular email marketing campaigns, including organizing subscriber lists. They will also maintain the Blue Crow Gallery website and be required to do day-to-day administrative tasks as needed.
The ideal candidate should have a creative eye which allows them to assist with exhibitions and displays. Previous experience handling artwork as well as experience using Excel and Word Documents, including Squarespace and Canva, would be a distinct advantage. The position requires the candidate to work flexibly 2-3 days a week.
