Scott Wilk - Wilk Watchworks

Wilk Watchworks was officially created in 2010. I actually started working on watches long before the official start date of Wilk Watchworks, during a time when I was making jewellery. I went full-time into making watches in 2010. Prior to 2010, I was making my own line of jewellery under the name Wilk Designs(sorry, all of my creative powers go into the watches). I made jewellery for a few years after graduating from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design (now NSCAD University), but I always felt like I was spinning my wheels.

I dabbled in gemmology for a time as well, but it wasn't until I got a job in a 'hole in the wall' in the basement of the Eaton Centre that I was introduced to the world of watchmaking. They taught me a great deal about watches at that store, for which I am greatly appreciative. After I caught the watchmaking bug, there was no turning back. I have explored and keep exploring ways to combine my art, design, and craft background, along with new materials, into my timepieces.

Since then, it's been quite a roller coaster ride, especially during the last couple of years of the pandemic. I've met so many amazing people along the way and have been so happy to be welcomed into the craft community of Toronto. I hope that you continue to enjoy my work and I hope to continue making my own brand of timepieces for a very long time.
