Rhoni Clarke

Rhoni Clarke (b.1989) is from Orillia, a small town in Northern Ontario.  Originally planning a career in mathematics, she was happily undone by just one Ceramic Arts course. Rhoni graduated from Lincoln Memorial University in Tennessee (BA 2011) and pursued her passion for making with clay at Sheridan College where, upon graduating in 2014, she received the Gardiner Museum Award for Best in Show.

Rhoni spent two years working for and learning from Scott Barnim in Dundas, ON while living in Burlington.  Rhoni and her partner Dave have recently made their home in Port Sydney, building a new studio and showroom where she plans to make and sell her pottery as well as teach pottery classes.  The reflective and peaceful character of Muskoka inspires her new Birch Tree line.
