Corina Kiefert Chester
Corina Kiefert Chester is a multimedia artist who is inspired by the quiet and tranquil beauty of the rural landscape and many gardens surrounding her log home east of Peterborough. Gelatin plate monotype printmaking is the dominant medium she is exploring at this time, incorporating drawing, mixed media and collage into the final piece.
Corina creates a magical solitude, a feminine space where the love and connection to family and nature is a recurring theme. The red house symbolizes a journey’s beginning or end and represents the anchor of home where body and spirit are restored and nurtured.
Corina is a graduate of OCA Illustration and Design (now OCADU) and the University of Guelph (major in Fine Art) and both these influences can be seen in her work. She exhibits in galleries and juried shows and is also an educator/facilitator of numerous workshops.
Every day brings renewed inspiration and immense gratitude to be able to express this beauty.
