71. Jenna Westphal - "Foxy" - 12x12"

I paint with oil and encaustic using a blow torch and brush to create dreamy, organic, paintings on long wood panels. Each encaustic piece is a combination of three of my passions, art, science and my love of nature.

With each richly textured wood panel layered with wax and oil I explore the dichotomy of the world we see versus the world we imagine. I experiment constantly with this diverse medium, studying the intertwined relationship between humanity and nature, Macro vs Micro, Above and Below.
