63. Hilary Slater - "Mountain Spirit" - 12x12"

Hilary Slater has been a practicing artist for over 40 years. She began her art career in watercolours, inspired by Ontario landscapes and East Coast shorelines. In 2024, she completed her dream trip of driving across Canada to experience that mystical union where the Rockies meet the prairies. Her new ‘Ravens Series’ depicts her emotions and visual responses to that trip. These new pieces are predominantly done in oils.

Hilary studied Fine Art and Design at OCAD, University of Guelph, did a BEd at the University of Western Ontario, and a Masters in Landscape Architecture at the University of Toronto, graduating with honours in each programme.
Hilary is also an Environmentalist, using her Art to help fight to protect the world’s most pristine water near her home in Tiny Township. She is also a writer (novelist), Landscape Designer, sculptor, yogi, pianist, linguist, and beekeeper. Hilary has worked in private collections in Canada, the USA, England, Wales, Ireland, Germany, France and Australia.
