I create landscape paintings out of wool, felting the fibres onto a wool pad. My love of nature run deep and I’ve found that with wool, I can capture the essence of a place. The tactile nature of wool is also mediative and calming and that energy is transferred into my pieces bringing joy and peace.

Ultimately, my work is about creating a sense of wonder and connection, both between the viewer & the art, and between humanity & the natural world. There is a delight in the unpredictable as well, that moment when new eyes I look at my art and are surprised to realize it is created out of fibre and not paint. This delight can offer a rare moment to slow down and observe the often-overlooked details in our sometimes hectic lives.
