51. Ann-Marie Olczak - "A Guide To Snowflakes" - 12x12"

I wanted to create something special for this winter show, still thinking about the grid, but using it as a basis for the study of snow. There is magic the fall of snow, how it builds upon itself; transforming, diffusing. These paintings started slowly, with raw canvas stained blue. Building from different layers of different sizes of white and grids with hints of colour to create the feeling of being caught in the softness of the magic of snow.
